Solarys announced today that it has achieved Awardable status through the Department of War's Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace (TSM) for its solution video listed as "Solarys Core." The assessment follows Solarys' May 2026 Awardable designation on the Department of the Air Force Platform One Solutions Marketplace.
Solarys joins a marketplace that, as of June 2026, reported 1,399 Awardable solutions from 4,064 submissions and participation from 186 government activities.
The two designations are separate. Each marketplace assessed a five-minute Solarys solution video through its own competitive process and scoring rubric. Both submissions focus on the same underlying approach: applying AI to sensitive, high-stakes operations without sacrificing control, decision authority, or operational continuity.
Two marketplaces, a similar acquisition model
Platform One and Tradewinds use a similar model: concise vendor pitch videos, structured competitive assessment, government-only access to Awardable solutions, and a path from discovery to procurement. In both marketplaces, Government Customers can review the capability, contact Solarys, and engage an authorized contracting activity if they decide to pursue an acquisition.
- Both marketplaces use five-minute solution videos assessed through competitive procedures.
- Both make Awardable solutions available to Government Customers with a marketplace account.
- Both support a path from government market research to direct engagement with the provider and contracting support.
Why a 45-day median matters
Government technology acquisitions commonly move through distinct stages: defining the requirement, conducting market research, issuing a solicitation, allowing vendors time to respond, evaluating proposals, negotiating terms, and making an award. For some federal research and development acquisitions above the simplified acquisition threshold, the required proposal-response period alone is at least 45 days. Evaluation, negotiation, and award come after that period.
Tradewinds reports a 45-day median Procurement Administrative Lead Time, measured from solicitation to contract award, across 80 awards completed in 2025. Put simply, the median Tradewinds award moved through that full interval in the same amount of time a conventional research and development acquisition may reserve just for receiving proposals.
Tradewinds has supported contract awards to organizations including Google, OpenAI, Palantir, IBM, and Booz Allen Hamilton, demonstrating that the marketplace is an active acquisition channel rather than simply a technology directory.
Solarys enters that pathway with the marketplace's competitive assessment already complete. That can remove a major front-end hurdle and let a Government Customer start from a post-competition solution instead of beginning a new vendor competition from the start. The 45-day figure is a program median, not a guaranteed timeline for contracting with Solarys; the customer still needs a defined requirement, available funding, negotiations, and an authorized contracting action.
Where they differ
Platform One is a Department of the Air Force organization, and its marketplace spans hardware, software, and service solutions supporting Department of Defense requirements. Tradewinds is the Department of War CDAO framework focused on artificial intelligence and machine learning, digital capabilities, and data analytics. The Tradewinds designation adds a second government discovery surface focused specifically on the technology domains in which Solarys operates.
What the second designation means
The Tradewinds result does not replace the Platform One listing. It adds a separate assessment and marketplace entry. Together, the two designations make Solarys discoverable through two government acquisition ecosystems. Awardable status confirms marketplace assessment; it is not a contract award, customer adoption, or operational validation.
